Welcome to the Garage Geek Guy blog

  • #announcement

If you’ve landed here, you probably already watched a video on the Garage Geek Guy YouTube channel and wondered, “is there a place I can just read this?”

Now there is.

What this blog is

Every post on this site is a written companion to a video on the channel. The video is embedded right at the top, so you can:

  • Watch the build as a video, the way it was filmed, or
  • Skim the write-up for the schematic, code, and parts list, or
  • Do both — watch with one eye while copying a snippet with the other.

Posts will lean toward the useful end of the spectrum: pinouts, code that actually compiles, the gotcha I hit at minute 14 that took an hour to debug, and links to the parts I used.

What it isn’t

It’s not a replacement for the YouTube channel — that’s where new builds drop first, and the videos are still the canonical record. Think of this as the cheat sheet you’d want next to the bench while following along.

What’s coming

Every existing video on the channel will get its own post here over time, working backward through the catalog. New videos will get a post around the time they drop.

If you’re new, the easiest way to keep up is to subscribe on YouTube — the blog is just a more permanent home for the same content.

Let’s get to it.
